FINISHED APRON
I don't know what gets me stopped. Once I finished the embroidery on this apron, the next step was to apply the bias tape, and that was a "buffalo." So, the apron lay unfinished on the back of the love seat for six weeks. To my credit, I refused to move on to some other things until I had addressed the issues and finished this apron. Today I can call it a finish, check it off the list, and reward myself by moving to the next project. KW

Absolutely fabulous. That must be an apron to wear when you "serve tea & cookies." With the white background, you couldn't cook in it.
One problem that I have (and you must, too) is that when I leave a "project" out in the open to remind me that it's not complete, another problem arises. I feel that I have to dust it since it's been setting in the open so long!
Kathy, I quite agree with Leah - a white apron?? - but the embroidery is great and it looks a wonderful job! My aprons are all colorful so any soiling will not show quite so much, LOL.
FYI: I'm going to begin posting a "look-along" for folks who want to follow my construction of my first dress from one of my 'new' vintage patterns - all the way from my preservation of the old pattern tissues & direction papers through re-sizing the pattern to the finished garment.

The apron was pictured on the envelope in white with hand embroidered embellishment, and I guess that appealed to me. My purpose is to hang aprons on hooks in the kitchen as seasonal decorative pieces, and this is one such apron. Other than that, I like aprons because of the practice they afford.
Molly, I'll be watching you. I ordered a Vogue pattern today off their website. I want to make a suit for "Ina." Thanks for sharing.
Next project? Well, something else off the list. I could finish the doll afghan in an afternoon or I could experiment with sock dolls.

I think the apron is great! The red and green embellishments really pop against the white. It's a wonderful feeling to mark something off the list!
Well, it's not a contest here. Comments welcome whenever. I love the winter floral design against the white. It was part of my vision. I put the same design on a pair of pillowslips.
See, I told you. You're going to have to dust the apron.
Oh yes, Leah, but the aprons are fully washable -- part of the beauty of using them for decoration. And the dust -- it's everywhere regardless.

The apron is beautiful. Though I admire you finishing what you start, because I have that issue also and like to finish things...you have paid your "dues". I think you should be able to start and finish anything you wish and focus on what you want to at the time. Maybe have ten unfinished items and choose what to work on, or not! :)

Hi Cris! -- Oh, I have ten unfinished items and then some! But the house is kinda small, so I decided this would be a year of finishing things so that I create space for more unfinished things.
