It's "Pet Appreciation Week" (P.A.W.), and Del's Feed and Farm Supply is sponsoring a pet event today. Our dogs can't make it, though. They have to work.[Bess waits patiently in the back of the Dakota. I think she'd live there if Mike would let her.]

Is "work" hunting? I thought you said opening was Sept 30th. Bess is such a ham!

Yes, "work" is hunting. Bess is a determined little hunter, but so far Nellie has been the retriever.
The Washington and Idaho seasons are different. Ken makes a calendar of all the openings and closings. But the guys aren't counting on a good season. Our new/weird weather patterns take their toll on the bird population.
Bess is a ham all right. After a hard hunt yesterday she showed up at the slider with a tennis ball, wanting Mike to throw it for her. He declined.
Your doggies lead the good life! They're happy and it shows.
