Now
that the new house on the hill above our town house is finished and inhabited
(we think), it’s time to plant a privacy screen. We’re considering cypress
trees.
The
first step is to clear the bank of its grass, weeds, sagebrush, and what have
you. Mike called several local rental firms and didn’t like the deals quoted on
brush-cutters. After a little online research, he decided to order the
brush-cutter attachment for his Poulan Pro “Multi Tool Attachment System." (He
already has the saw and weed-eater.)
The
brush-cutter was delivered Monday morning. Mike read the manual, sharpened the
blade, and put it together. After lunch he set to work clearing the bank, and I
think he’s pleased with it. Having his own tool means that he can work at his
own speed. He says he doesn’t want to have all the fun on one day. I helped
rake up the vegetation for a while, but it’s a lot of waiting in the dust. I managed
to edge myself back into the kitchen where I baked a batch of cookies.
Here’s a picture of Bess resting at the back door. She hunted with Mike and son Clint Saturday morning, went out again with Mike Sunday evening, then hunted another half day with Mike and Ken on Tuesday. She seems kinda tired today, but she would go again if she had the chance. KW

All in the fun in one day. LOL!! Glad his new toy is working out. Dan has a similar toy by Stihl (he was spurred on by Bruder Bear who loves his) and has not regretted its purchase.
Excellent idea to move to the kitchen!!
Yes, Mike has been doing this work for a couple of hours a day. We'll both be glad when it's finished.
